About Us

Enlighten Christian Academy is a unique Christian micro-school / homeschool hybrid in Williamsburg, VA. Currently, we are enrolling youth ages 2-14 for the 2026-2027 school year. With class sizes of 10 or less students, we focus on developing the gifts of each unique student. Morning academic classes are led by paid learning guides who specialize in interactive lessons while fostering a desire to learn independently.

After lunch, enrichment classes are led by parents or field experts and include music, art, Spanish, culinary, nature, and business. Every Friday, known as 'Flex Friday', students may be joined with family members to engage in field trips, local service trips, or a monthly chapel program. Students may choose to attend the full-day program, a half-day program, or a Flex-Day only program. Parents are welcome to volunteer for ECA Program credit as space allows. We look forward to training leaders who will develop their natural talents to glorify God!

What is a microschool?

Our microschool is a unique hybrid between homeschooling and private schooling, located in Williamsburg, VA. With small class sizes of 10 or less, students may interact more with children of multiple ages and have a more family-focused experience. Parents may drop their students off every day at 8:45am and pick them up before 3pm, or they may have the option of enrolling them in either just the morning academic classes or just the afternoon enrichment classes. If parents desire to assist with the microschool, there are a variety of positions available so they may stay involved at the school. Parental involvement is reimbursed with ECA Program Credit to assist families who want a cost-effective high-quality education. On 'Flex Fridays', the whole family is invited to participate in our review games, as well as recreational, educational, and mission-minded field trips!

Through small, personalized classes with hands-on projects and creative learning, our focus is to ensure a high-quality educational program that is affordable and accessible for any family that desires it.

We serve both excelling students who are bored in larger classroom settings as well as struggling children who feel constrained by a traditional school environment. Our customizable program can serve a diverse range of needs, making sure that no child is lost but that each develops a love for learning that lasts a lifetime!
